I have a quick question about US citizenship application:
One of my unlces got DV lottery about 4 year and 9 months ago. He did marry in nepal and his wife is in Nepal. Now he wants to apply for citizenship to bring his wife here. While I was helping him to fill the N400 form, it says the minimum years of PR should be 5 years to apply for citizenship. But, we have heard that ppl can apply after 4 years and 9 months.
Can you please share your knowledge about it.
Thank you very much.

That means it need to be 5 years at the oath date. You can go head and file now(3 months prior to 5 yrs) nd it usually takes 3-6 months. If it happen to get processed fast and he got the interview earlier than 3 months they will schedule the oath only after the 5 years thing is met.
