I am graduating with masters in civil engineering degree this semester. I am not ready for PhD or anything. I would like to know if anyone knows about the job openings for civil engineers with structural emphasis. I have applied to most of the entry level jobs that popup in indeed.com, monster.com, careerbuilder but no luck so far. Looks like they are willing to hire construction management people but not a design engineer. I would really appreciate your suggestion.

Situation is so bad that many qualified americans are getting laid off and there is no jobs in the market. I would recommend you to go with PHD. Even if you get work and work for few years, you will be willing to do PHD at that time. Since you are in a study whim, you can complete PHD easily as compared to later.
