This is perfect time to show common man's solidarity against Maoist threats and intimidation. I hope this group turns larger than anything those fuqt up maoist have brought in as a showpiece. Encourage everyone to come out for this. We need to scare the shit out of the freaking maoist to run away with tail between their legs.

Professional groups want ongoing strike to be withdrawn; will organize peace rally on May 7

Various
professional groups and human rights organizations have urged concerned
parties to immediately call off the ongoing general strike that has
entered its 4th day on Wednesday and resolve all outstanding problems
through constitutional means.

A meeting of top
representatives of Nepal Bar Association, Federation of Nepalese
Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Nepal
Teachers' Association, National Private and Boarding Schools'
Organization of Nepal, Nepal Medical Association, Human Rights
Organization of Nepal (HURON) including civil society leaders,
professors and media persons held on Wednesday drew the attention
towards the adverse effects the ongoing Maoist called general strike is
having on the normal life of people across the country.

The meeting also decided to organize a peace rally at Basantapur Durbar Square of Kathmandu on Friday, May 7.

The
programme which is scheduled to start at 9 am is being organized with
the view to resolve all problems through dialogue while giving central
priority to the peace process and constitution drafting and immediately
stop all instances of human rights violation, according to a press
statement issued after the meeting.

All peace loving people of the country have been called upon to show their active participation in the programme.

It’s time to show these
useless politicians that Nepalis are just fed up with them and it doesn’t
matter who calls the bandhs, enough is enough.

Reasons why you need to go to this peace rally

1. You have a right to express yourself. You have a right to express your concern over Nepal bands
2. You have to protect the democracy from falling into the hands of the maoist who will do anything to exert their political views and agendas at the cost of your freedom
3. You have to act now before it's too late
4. It gives you an idea how many people are concerned like you.

and the most important reason

5. Government is not doing anything against criminal activities of the
protestors so you have to come out to show the criminal protestors that
you are not going to sit quietly if this continues and that there are many people like you who do not support them.

This rally is about your Freedom to live your life normally without political parties forcing 'bandhs' onto your face, demanding your money, extorting you and above all acting in undemocratic ways by hiring goons to further their cause.

Imagine a government which uses hired thugs to make you do what they want instead of strenghtening the law.

Every concerned citizen and their family should go to this rally.
