How much should one expect to negotiate with a Nepalese travel agent on, say, a  $1540 roundtrip fare to Nepal? What do you think their margins are? I would definitely like to get the best deal -- but it would be nice to have an idea of what that fare is actually costing them. Does a quoted $1540 fare actually cost them $1500, $1450 or $1300? Any guesses?

Can we expect a discount for multiple tickets, i.e. traveling with a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids)?

from my personal experience, buy tickets from peace land or zen travels. they are pretty good with the prices. some others are just a rip off. usually they hardly give you any discount on the tickets, but it just matter of who will give you the best deal.
