hello my friends

i am having problem with installing spyware doctor. i bought the cd  from best buy and tried to install it but couldnt register it so i checked their website.they provided me with lisence number and told me to uninstall my current version and download new version from their website . i tried to install it but it shows a problem during the installation . i skipped the problem and installed it anyway but it didnt let me register the license.the problem it shows is

C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor\avdb\av10-000.vdb

An error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory

computer experts please help me out.

People still buy anti-spyware? When you can get one for free on torrents...j/k :)

 

You might to want uninstall it again and check "complete uninstallation " and do not leave any components of older version. Also, delete everything off the program folders.  I think newer version is having problem over-writing older one on program folder. See if it helps.

 

hey, delete all folders related to that anti-spyware (old and new) and install spy doctor from Google that is available online for free. that is one of the best thing for your PC.

as per your feelings about your investment on the anti-spyware, consider it as one more thing that was performed without evaluating your computer needs.

its free for a month. after a month download and install again for free.
google search: nod32. click the 2nd link. download the smart security version. remember to uninstall any and all anti virus programs you have on your computer. if you have norton anti viurs, get rid of it. its a virus in itself - too much overhead. uninstall spyware doc too.
