hi all sajha users! recently i failed to attend my qrtr/semester at my college due to my cousins health problem coz he got a brain haemorrhage. now my univ. has cancelled my registration for current qrtr. after this qrtr there is a summer break. now i am worried; what will happen to my f-1 status; do i need to re-instate?or what should i do? help me out.

If you had to a skip a semester( here calsses being cancelled- i think pertty much same thing) while you were present in the US, You do have to reinstate.The best thing you can do is wt AXARA advised you to. GO SEE YOUR DSO. DONT WAIT.

Yes, I think you have to see your DSO. Since you were present in the US and didn't attend school, your status as F-1 student is no longer valid. That is just what I have heard during orientation. The best thing would be to talk to the International Student Office at your University.
