I'm looking to get a notebook for myself.. nothing fancy and too expensive because I'll just it using it for school work and stuff. However, I don't want to be compromising on quality as i would want it to last me for atleast a few years.. and it should work great while it does.

If you want something reliable..go to HP not dell. Dell has good customer support but HP is good with its quality. Most of the time Dell just get bunch of parts from different place, hook it up and send it to you. So, I would suggest go for HP

If you are in no hurry, i would advice you wait till After-Thanksgiving sale (black friday Sale). Laptops are on sale for insanely low prices then. Specially if you are not looking for anything too fancy, then u will definately find sth that will fit ur need and budget.
