I have read a lot of comments in Indian media, including in the wikipedia entry, that he speaks Hindi in Nepali accent. Of course, Prashanta too has been said of so. Prashant spoke Nepali at home, Udit spoke Maithili. It seems that Udit spent way too much time in KTM speaking Nepali.

Plus, like a pucca Nepali, he doesn't want to antagonize anyone in the show. He is so modest, even when he tries to criticize someone, he first praises him, and then starts the criticism with 'parantu...'. That is so much Nepali style.

He has stayed handsome though. Reminds me his movie, Kusume Rumal. Bhuvan KC stole the show in the movie, and Udit's dream of becoming movie actor didn't materialize, which was the best thing that could have happened to him since he could concentrate on his singing career.

vowels, if you read my original posting, I have written so. No need to remind:) To tell you the truth, Nepal is more of a Mithila than India. The last Mithila kingdom, Simraungadh, is in Nepal. We are the real inheritor of Maithili culture. Ktm's Malla kings were also descendant of Maithili kings. That's why you see Maithili influence in KTM.

yea, but when he sings Nepali songs, no one says he has accent. I love the lokgeet he sang as much as anything.
