Hey guys, does anyone have any idea how long it takes to bring spouse here after getting citizenship?

it's been a long time. finally, got the citizenship but still have to wait, do't know how long.

From your positing, I assume you were married prior to being a citizen.

If you were married AFTER being a citizen, it would probably take a couple of months. In my case, it took almost 2 months between starting the application process and my wife's receiving the visa. This was about a year ago. The regulations changed right about then. Now, you have to start the application process from the US (can't file from your spouse's country anymore). This will probably add some delay.

Ironically, the situation is hopeless for green card holders. I know of one Nepali lady who had to face this ordeal. She was a permanent resident and had a pretty decent job here. Panipokhari rejected her husband's visa numerous times. Once, she got her citizenship, it was a piece of cake.

I am sure you already know this, but just in case, visit www.uscis.gov for the official info. You may also want to consult an immigration lawyer. Best of luck.

Dhannebaad cha. Ani kasto thaha napaunu bhaeko ta, Ashu le Sajha ma tetro halla gardeko thiyo. Bachcha ta bhaeko chaina, baru tapai ko tesro bachcha bho ki? Ani khoi ta, tapai ko katha haru padhna napaeko pani dherai bho ni. Aba ta pahile jasto scan pani garnu pardaina ni Nepali ma type garera :)
