"On August 10, 2015, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status, Receipt Number LINXXXXXXXX. Our Nebraska Service Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." WTF seriously?? Its April 22, 2016 today.

No idea what's the actual reason behind the delay, but I am having the feeling that they are trying to delay the TPS approval so as to prevent F1 in certain states from getting instate tuition by establishing residency (couple registrar from TX university told me from the approval date of my TPS if I lived 12 months in TX without attending any school during this period I will be eligible for instate tuition. According to them the instate tuition will continue until completion of the program even if TPS gets terminated during this period. Also, I falsely mentioned them I am NO longer in my F1 but have a approved TPS (in reality I am still F1 with pending tps) and they both mentioned that I do not have to worry about F1 any longer as long as I have TPS at least until the 1st day of beginning of my program. They both did however mention that once my program completed and if I don't have TPS or some other status at that point I will have to leave USA ASAP. Just thought I should share this with you guys hoping it might be helpful to some. Those no longer in F1, but have TPS approved or pending and looking to take advantage of TX instate tuition please check with the university of your interest first. PM me if you want to know the names of university I inquired with. Jay Nepal.

@saaneygurung: well my case is different actually, i already have my OPT EAD with me. In-state tuition doesnt apply to me hence my case is pending.. The only thing I am more concerned about delay in my case could possibly be unclear fingerprint or biometrics. Since concerned authorities hasnt sent me any mail stating the need of additional document.

@taremam_bhai: Same here. Working on OPT EAD, but nevertheless wanted to mention about the instate tuition part as that seems to be a golden opportunity for people who are either not in good academic status for F1 or those who are working on OPT but plan to further their education in a year or so especially in TX.

Wow!! Didn't even think of that. Thanks for sharing, Saaney Gurung bro. I think some of us can be benefited by that.

@Saaney Gurung @ taremam_bhai I also observed and analyzed regarding TPS approvals. I feel like there is something tricky that some cases are not approved yet. I also inquired about tuition fees and I was given the same information (if I spend a year blah blah). In most cases, I have heard and seen, people who are working are getting their TPS ead faster than f-1 students. It could be the instate fee reason or there is something more. It is strange the USCIS is not approving applications in order. People who filed after me have received their TPS EAD. Now I am thinking, uscis is approving those cases which will be beneficial for the government (like working people), may be. God knows why are they doing this but it's causing problems for many people.
