One of my friends has been accepted to attend a training(3 days) in U.S. If he applies for a visa, how long will be the validity of the visa? I know it falls under B1/B2 category. He doesn't just want to come here for just three days. He wants to stay here for a month so that he can go visit some places.

Please share if you have any knowledge in this regard. Thank you.

Dude, 6 months ko entry huncha/visit. So he can stay till 6 months from the date of arrival.

Visa will be for 5 years with multiple entries. He gets stamped for 6 months with each entry which can also be extended upto a year.
To answer your question, he can do multiple visits within 6 months.

Yes, he can switch to F-1. I have seen people do it.
