Ford Ecosport.  Nepal ma intro model is about 28.5 lakhs. 

I didn't know even Hyundai Sonata cheap car cost 58 lakhs.
If you convert that to $ then it is $61,052.
A Hyundai car cost $61K, Damn.
It's almost 3 times.

And Corolla and Camry cost 72 and 96 lakhs respectively. That is about 4 times the cost in the US. Thanks to the 200+ percent import tax.

 Damn it! I would never be able to afford a car in Nepal with 248% tax. Ok car might be a luxury, but a motorcycle is now a necessity in Nepal especially in KTM.  They impose the same tax on motorcycles too. 

Question.

Since the same car is lot cheaper in India. I have some close family friends in delhi. So is it possible if I go to india and get a car (tag/title/registration) and if they need drivers license i will get that too. And bring that car to ktm and drive around.

Ps: i have seen lots of car in pokhara, birgunj, etc with indian plate.

Not anymore, Pirka. Maobadi terrorists have banned Indian vehicles from entering Nepal, IIRC. 

Make sure not to buy cars from "TEJ and KARAN Enterprise", they cheat you big time.

Cars are really expensive in Nepal. India ma around 5 lakhs parne gadi Nepal ma 26-27 lakh parcha tetro paisa tirna chittai na bujhne tara k garne thats how it is. Aba nepali gadi lai promote garna testo gareko bhanne ho bhane na ta Nepal ko gadi haru ko dherai option nai cha. K ho k ho bujnai garo. Euta Honda Amaze bhanne raicha 27-29 lakh jati pardo raicha...tye kinne ki bhanne soch ma chu. Any more suggestions, people?
