grgdai, let bygone be bygone. Lets make no mistake in judging him by how wrong he was and how many mistakes he made but how much he has learnt from the consequences and how well he is doing. We all make mistake and every mistake has its consequences but I genuinely believe baburam is learning from those consequences. I have no faith in other paracites (other leaders) but am watching this guy closely.

No doubt Nepal is in a transformative phase. In this phase, what we should do is grade a person by the progress during his/her tenure rather than his/her past actions and affiliations. The stand that war criminals should be punished is right but the question is - given the current situation of Nepal where there has been no constitution for a long time, whether it is likely. If it is not, then the energy could be spent to reconstruct and renovate Nepal. From my experience, we Nepalese are so selfish. We prefer Afno Manche over Ramro Manche any day, and for any position. We do not have a meritocratic society. It's about time we changed our conceptions and strive for a society where merit is given preference and accomplishments are given credit.

Compare Obama with Dr. Bhattarai? That's an almost an insult to our Prime Minister.
We have witnessed Obama's meteoric rise after he talked the talk at the 2004 Democratic Party Convention. He became the President after the voters were forced to pick on face value between Obama and the McCain-Palin duo. The distance between the horns of dilemma never seemed more arduous or longer before. Fast-forward a few years, now we have an unyielding Republican Congress and the lame duck President, caught in debacle after debacle while the general population bears the brunt of the recession. Even the truth has a limited gestation period. When the people come back to the senses,Obama's Presidency is going to sink like a rock as if the meteor has fallen right into the sea.

Dr Bhattarai,on the other hand, has been in the public eye for several decades wowing the Nepali masses with one achievement after another. Remember what Alec Baldwin said in one movie? He said. "it takes brass balls to sell real estate". If that's true, I am sure in Bhattarai's case, it takes platinum balls to bring down a feudal society like Nepal. Revolutions and military campaigns are brutal and  and bloody. That's why Subhash Chandra Bose uttered, "Give me Blood and I promise you Freedom". You can ask Prithvi Narayan Shah himself (when you meet him in Heaven or Hell) about how much blood was splilled during his military campaign in the Malla dynasty's Kathmandu valley and in the surrouding regions. Therefore, you Mandales, when are you going to stop providing that corny argument of  13-15 thousand casualties of the People War?

I would now say, let bygones be bygones both for Bhattarai-Prachanda and Prithvi Narayan Shah. Let's allow the leaders who we truly believe can lead Nepal for things bigger and better to come.

let bygones be bygone...let's pardon hitler for holocaust for the same reason, let's forget about any wannabe capable leader who ever committed any crime and not hold them accountable, lets not even have any law or governing body to punish any criminal ever, lets dissolve the International criminal court system because you know what ...fks like you will always be there to pardon these SOBs cause you want "bygones to be bygones" ...have some dignity and respect for the innocent nepali people who died before you call that corny but what would a shit head maoist like you understand, you probably did not lose anyone...

Afno manchey over ramro manchey?? the fk is that? what has this RAW agent done in the past to makes him capable?
