So we've had 18 inches of snow here which meant that i didn't have to go to work. I'm sitting at home bored and want to watch some good movies this evening. Please suggest some movies that I should watch....can be both new or old....movies that r your favorites....no hindi or non-english movies please :)
To give u some idea of my taste, some of my favs are:
Thriller/Action: The Matrix, Inception, Silence of the lambs, The Prestige
Drama: Shawshank Redemption, Requiem for a Dream, A Beautiful Mind
Romantic: Before Sunrise
Sci-fi: Avatar, 2001: A Space Odessey, Terminator 2
P.S. :I have watched most of the good movies that came out recently like Black Swan, 127 Hours, The King's Speech, The Fighter and Blue Valentine. So some old gems is what I am looking for!

i think imdb.com top 250 is the best one........its based on the critics and the audience votes and till now there is no movie that i regretted watching, from the list. I would strongly recommend you Schindler's list, Good Will Hunting, Empire of the sun, memento, Pulp Fiction, fight club, American Psycho, The Machinist, Usual suspects, Harry Porter series, Lord of The Ring series, LA Confidential, 3:10 to Yuma, The insider, Full Metal Jacket....and the list goes on and on.....basically i am totally into imdb and then from rottentomato.com i pick some favourite actor and directors movies.....

Justcurious, glad you liked it.
Watch the other movies in my list, you will like them as well. You might also like Billu Barber for its simplicity but it isn't as good as Sajjanpur. If you want a good suspense thriller (not dhisum dhasum) then watch A Wednesday
