Most of the students who are suffering are students who came here with the intention of making money i.e. economic migrants rather than students with actual intention of studying. Otherwise they would have brought enough money to sustain themselves for a year or so for the course, accomodation, travelling, etc. Most of them already have information about these colleges not listed in UCAS (which are pretty much like the training institutes in Nepal) which only does professional qualifications, even before they apply for VISA. There is ubiquitous internet these days to conduct enough research on the college and course they have applied for. I came to a similar college about a decade back but I had enough funds to sustain me while I was looking for job. Luckily I got job pretty quickly then because job market was not that bad, studied hard and gathered enough professional course certificate to gain access to the university, gathered enough funds to pay the tuition fees and other related expenses and now am working in a good company. Only one Nepali student among 100 or so who came to the college at the time I started, ended up with a university degree. If it wasn't for these other 98 or so students who were merely economic migrants, things would have been much easier for others. At the moment, 20,000 plus Nepali students (igonring 60,000 plus from India, 40,000 plus each from Bangladesh and Pakistan) have swamped these colleges because of points based system the government has introduced. They got visa on the basis of showing one day's fund in the bank account in some cases and fake acommodation letter provided by these colleges. Obviously, it will make life difficult for students like me who came here with the intention of studying but without enough funds initially to fund university education. People with enough money get admitted to universities and colleges listed in UCAS and these colleges and Universities never do accomodation letter without actually providing it. God help these new arrivals and let them off life of crime in desperation. That's all I can say.

As u said that they shud have carried enough money for one year , ha ha don't joke dude u know non of nepali are capable of doing that unless they are from chaudhari group(or something big name like that) or one of the corrupted politicians child (may be u are one of them ) . I feel sorry for al those nepali brothers and sister who are robbed by some nepali fag like you !

I think student have to share the blame as well. I can't believe they leave everything to the Consultancy. Whatever consultancy says, whichever docuements they ask for they bring it on. They think it is a job of counsultancy to take them from Nepal to UK. They give consultancy 20-25000, consultancies shows the amount in the account of student for one day as a result they get visa. I think the best think any student can do is................. 1. Apply themselves after research rather than depending on consultancy 2. Take advice from the people in UK rather than people in Nepali consultancy in Nepal 3. Don't be shy in applying to several Universities and all the possible scholarship well ahead of time. May be 8-9 months or even a year earlier. That will drastically increase the chance of getting a scholarship. I wonder how many nepali don't get scholarship because they don't apply for it. They are too shy to apply to university because the cost is high. One thing they should remember, the amount of money they spend in college, with the same amount they can get university degree with scholarship. When they graduate they will also have better chance to get job. The point is apply to as many universities as possible. May be 10-15 does not matter and as many schoarships. Dont' think that you are not good enough to get a schoarship because you will be surprised when you get one. If you want to spend money spend it in Nepal by applying to loads of universities . Dont' be miser for the postal expense of 200-300 Rs for applying to each university. Any student can apply to UK university by saying they will pay money through scholarship. University first gives conditional offer and later informs whether they have recieved schlorships or not.

As far as I'm aware, there is no scholarships for undergraduate course in UK Universities. There are a few for Masters which is either 20% of extortionate amount that they charge or after you have completed the course with highest score in the class (which is rare for Nepali students here). There are a few scholarships for PHD though but to expect scholarships if you have applied for undergraduate course in university, be sure that you have 0.0000001 % chance of getting it. Unlike UK, US is more welcoming to international students. So my suggestion will be to apply in US rather than in UK. University education is free in many European countries but language is a huge barrier in most of those countries and additionaly jobwise, it is very difficult to get even part-time jobs for international students there, especially if you are Asian.

americane call me whatever you like. But your comment is not going to make me what you say I am. As they say, the language used by one shows their class, so I am not offended as most people reading your comment will understand where you come from.
Try to understand the post before writing comment. I was a student and have never been an agent. I have always suggested my relatives and friends to go to US instead of coming to UK because I don't want them to suffer like I have done in the past.
Regarding money for university, at least 100 nepali students are studying in UK universities right now with their parents funding them for education. Remember, just because you and me couldn't afford it does not mean that there are not enough people in Nepal who have earned money legitimately that could fund their children's education in West. Banks in Kathamandu pay on average 2 lakh per month including benefits to senior managers, a good personal business can earn you even more. I know lots of Nepalese who earn more than 1 lakh per month in rent after tax in Kathmandu. With such earnings it is enough to fund university education for their children. I know there are people who are not as fortunate but that's way the world is, doesn't matter whether it is east or west and I do feel bad for them. So think before you speal.

Yes Mr.incrediblesuperbatma, I am one of those nepali student who is not capable of bring enough money from nepal to pay and stay for one year which as my university said 15000 at that time, which is huge amount for my family. I don't care what u say about my origin because as u said i am not going to be like that and i know where i am from and as u are wrinting i can predict that u are one of those NRN who clames for two cittizenships. so that they can say i am british(or american) when they are here or i am nepali when they are there(in nepal).

BlingBling: We heard you, can I ask a question, what were you doing back home? Have you ever imagine about the hardship you have to go through? Regarding help, "जोगिको घरमा सन्यासी पाहुना " Every one is struggling but can advise. Regarding doing business" most of you have not done grocery shopping, even did you have to find a nice sporty bag so no body knows what is inside the bag", with this mentality there is no business. If your family is not involved in in any kind of business, you have to start from scratch, which is very hard to do because of our मनस्थिती. I had a job in finance, one of my fellow worker came with a idea, Not Sekuwaa but Machha and wasa pasal. I discussed it with my family but my distant relative made a nice comment "how about a bajeko bhaat pasal". That fellow did the business but my distant relative looked at it down, now he has nice bangala, nice Japanese car. He is in good position, but his business is taken as low graded business. Did you read about "Newa Harakiri", people are divided by the nature of their work and status was formed similar way. Now you go abroad, you find every work is work and now you do not hesitate to do it, but hard to find. But then in back home, you may not have served glass of water by yourself.NOPE, we are भगौडे, trying to find a solution not at home but at abroad.
