What I Saw at the Border: There Is No Border

Eyewitness account: Daily Signal reporter Virginia Allen recently traveled to Texas and spent three days near the border talking with local leaders, citizens, and illegal aliens themselves.

Over and over, Allen watched as immigrants crossed the border and waited casually for Border Patrol agents to pick them up, knowing that they would soon be released into the U.S.
“I was surprised by how much of a well-oiled machine illegal immigration has become,” Allen writes.

Shocking Crime Rates, Brought to You by the Left’s Embrace of Lawlessness

In the news: The FBI’s latest crime report revealed a staggering 5.6% increase in violent crime in 2021 compared with 2020’s already high rate.

This is likely a major undercount. Of more than 18,000 law enforcement agencies around the country, the FBI received data from only 9,800.
This is what conservatives predicted would result from the Left’s blatant embrace of “defund the police” and rogue prosecutors who refuse to prosecute criminals.
Our take: “These numbers are shameful. And it’s even more shameful that these numbers continue to increase year over year,” write Heritage senior legal fellow Cully Stimson and legal fellow Zack Smith, which you can read here.

It is a legal process:
Applying for asylum might be an option for undocumented immigrants who fear returning to their home country and do not have residency rights in any other country.
