Dear Narayan Krishna ju,

What you've written is very correct.

I know what kinds of negative sides are attacking and infecting us.

If we don't find out the solution and solve our problem then I see very sad future for us.

1)Personally I respect all the members of our community. We need all of

them to make us strong and complete.

2)Our new generation of Newars are not concious that their native language

is very important and it is their voice.

They even don't know that the rulers want to take their language away
from them to control them and manipulate them. When the native language
of any ethnic people is lost then the rulers can manupulate them very
easily.

We can see many examples in our country and in this world.

If you need examples how the ethnic people has been manupulated then I'm ready to give you.

3)Sadly when I was living in Nepal,I too didn't know the value of my
native language(mother tongue) although at that time I had finished my
university. My brain was washed completely with the Khas government
policy.

At home I used to speak Newah language but with my own Newah friends

I also used to speak Khas language because I was not aware about the
power of our language.I also didn't know that our language is the main
factor of our identity. When we loose our language we'll loose many
things in Nepal

and at the end ourselves.

I think the same thing is happening with our new generation of Newahs.

We must take responsibilty to wake them up.

4)After I came to Germany,I started reading books, articles of Nepal

written in German language by German scholars.

The German scholars have written many books about Nepal.

They admire our arts and rich Heritage, which is unique in this world.

Then slowly I came know that something  going wrong in our
community, which we need to do correction if we want to become a strong
community in Nepal.

Now, only blaming others will not solve our problems. It is only waste

of our time.We need to do the best what we can to make our people aware

about their language and themselves.

So long we fight with each other and thinks that"I am the most
important person" then I don't see any good future for our country
Nepal.

Newars and Nepal are deeply connected with each other.

Without Newars ,Nepal is incomplete.

Without Newars our country will never come forward.

5)Now I speak only Newah language with our people.

I've learnt many things.

With best regards,

Rahena

Rahena-ju,

I just sent you a mail about strong (good) side of Newa culture. I
would like to write bad side of Newa, now, before I forget on this
point.

1. We fight within ourselves. We feel "I am the most important person,
not the next to me". I feel everyone is important regardless of 'big'
or 'small'

2. We do not promote our good culture rather copy other's without
evaluating good or bad. Increasing trend of buffet dinner party instead
of 'Jho Bhoya' is one example. We 'try' to forget our own good part,
but keep bad part (like fight each other among ourselves).

3. Newa new generation do not talk in Newa, rather Nepali, thinking
that it is proud to talk in Nepali. Now present trend is that even if
two Newa meet, they talk in Nepali rather than Newa.

4. We dominate "lower level" and "outsider" from own Newa
community.Like Newa from Kathmandu dominate Newa from Patan or
Bhaktapur; and or vice versa.

Let me stop here for now.

N. K. Singh

Narayan Krishna Ju,

You are the funniest hypocrite I've ever seen. If u want to promote your culture:

Onwards communicate only in newari. (Writing in english is okay with you but not in Nepali? )

Wear only your newari dress. Dont ever wear shirt and pants. Make your wife and daughters wear haku patasi.

Dont wear shoes, thats not in your culture. Walk bare foot.

Dont build toilets and safety tanks. Take shit on the streets. Thats your traditional culture.

Dont involve in professions like service and teaching. Thats not your traditional occupation.
