Dear Immigration gurus: My father (US citizen) applied I-130 for me in 2003. However, my employer also processed for my Green Card and already got it a while ago. Do I need to notify INS to cancel I-130? Please give me some information on this. Regards

If you have already gotten your green card from your employment based application, then you can ask your father to just write a letter to the USCIS office where he filed the I-130 telling them that he wishes to withdraw his I-130 application for you. Don't forget to attach the receipt notice of that initial I-130 application with the letter so they know about the case. Make copy of that letter for your record.
