can anyone give me advice on this. i am agreen card holder in california. my girl friend is nurse in nepal. i want to bring her in US so we can live together and she wishes to work as nurse in california.

           Well, first step is do her credential evaluation of Nursing Degree from CGFNS. Visit www.cgfns.org. To do a  credential evaluation you have to send all the offcial document of Nursing degree directly to the CGFNS. follow the instruction on the website.

           After her cerdential is eveluated a CGFNS will issue a breakdown of her course by course academic records. Then you have to apply the board of Nursing with all the req doc and finger print. both takes 6-8 weeks.

              After board approves, then board will send a letter for eligiblity i.e.  authorize to take test (ATT) then you have to take date for NCLEX exam at pearson vue for Nursing licensing.

            However, california board ko lagi CGFNS ma official doc na pathai sojai californial board ma pathaye pani hucha. they will do credential evaluation themselves. visit http://www.rn.ca.gov/. let me know if you have any question. all the best.
