the university is good but life is f uped nepalese are all studying higher level courses like masters and bachelors so don't think that you will get any help from them they don't care about anyone well if you are there and new in US better transfet to texas ...next semester to sum it up

I don't know if you are looking for undergrad or graduate degree. If you are looking for undergrad, then there is not much option to earn money. If you are looking for grad then, its very good place, once you have assistantship, shich most of the graduate student do have. Regarding, helping people, I don't know why raju talked about, but people there are very helpful. if people are coming from nepal, usually they are picked up at airport by nepalis, through nepalese student organization, NeSA. As far I know, they also try to reserve appartments depending upon number of incoming students. Its hard to find apartments, its better to have before you arrive, which nepalese at SDSU do. basically they pick them up, arrange apartments. If apartment is not found they manage in the one where current students are residing. you don't have to worry about going grocery, as any nepalis will take you to grocery with them. I really found stay at SDSU is pleasant, friendly and homely environment. Definitely its hard to find such nepalese environment. Thanks to gusys at SDSU who are actively helping new comers.

no you don't have to stay in dorm even if you start from the beginning. you can come to Brookings airport, which is very small. usually people come to sioux falls airport which is an hour drive from SDSU. even then guys will be there to pick you up. regarding, on-campus job you will get one. most of the guys get through connections of earlier nepali, and they will help in full front. why don't you go to their webpage http://studentorgs.sdstate.org/nesa/members.html and contact one of the members. esp exe. committee members.
