It is not a big surprise. Girija has always remained in the favor of Monarchy.

But I think Girija in only one leader in Nepal who always keep stands in his point.

There are lot of things i hate about Girija..BUT he is the only true leader that exists in Nepal.

He knows when to be against king and when not to be !!!

Everyone of the sajha bolggers criticizing GP for role of King in current set-up are missing an important point. GP is not anti or pro King, HE IS DOING THIS TO PROTECT DEMOCRACY, really as simple as that.

In democracy we will need a role for King, especially in Nepal.

HERE IS THE BITTER TRUTH:
In the bottom of their hearts all Nepalese love monarchy.

I did not like GP but now that he has taken bold stands based on principles I am rethinking about GP.
He is surprisingly turning out as a strong leader.
He has already set Prachande & Bhattarai on line and in fact told the visiting Indian 'delegation' that do not disturb him & not to poke their nose in Nepal's affairs.

GP IS THINKING GOOD FOR NEPAL, period. Atleast give some credit to GP please.

Don't know if Prachande & Bhattarai brought him on line..or he brought them...ahem! There is ofcourse something called negotiations!

why criticizing girija. does anybody ever remember when king reistated sher bahadur deuba as priminister ever party accepted kings decision and said it was right, it was only girija who said king was wrong even then.

its girija nepali congress who started all this andolan. there was no uml or any party. so in that sense girija proved to be great visionary. many nepalese still believe in king (and i am sure it would be in millions) . so what wrong in giving little space to king.

Ok...what I mean is, one person cannot think for the whole country! Ofcourse Girija seems to be like a strong headed person. Maoist leaders definitely are. Negotiation between them should yeild good result. Before, there was not place for negotiation! Anyone who was in power could do whatever he wanted. That's why I have been saying...whatever is happening, is happening for good! It is the transition that is difficult.

He cant picture monarchy-free Nepal. Fought/Fights all his life advocating for multi-party democracy. Acts republically. Who says politics is black? Girija Chameleon Koirala. Hues all the way!

Nepal should get rid of all aged-Leaders, including so-called young "Sher Bahadur".
