Unplug all your power cord from the modem and router then re-start your modem back and re-start your computer back( Don,t restart yourPC before modem is fully running otherwise your PC won't be able to obtain the IP address even though it says connected). this should resolved your problem.

. follow these, and you make our life easier. GO TO control Panel. If you have XP, click on Classic View on the left side Click Administrative tools Click Event Viewer Click on System on the left And find the first RED ICON that says ERROR and with Source "tcpip" double click that, and tell me what it says.

if its not fixed yet, try this. im just taking a shot in the dark hai! adhyaro ma goli hanya! i just got one error you put up, i need more, but try this first. open your network connection on your LAN connection, right click and then click properties double click INTERNET PROTOCOL(TCP/IP) on General tab, check the radio button, USE THIS IP ADDRESS on IP: 192.168.1.xxx x can be anything from 100. 103, 104, 106, watever subnetmask should come up automatically, if not it will be 255.255.255.0 default gateway : 192.168.1.1 USE THE FOLLOWING DNS SERVER: preferred DNS: 192.168.1.1 leave another empty. i have no idea what your problem is, until i get more info. till then give this a shot! might not even work! lol! :P and if you could go back to services and give me more info on errors, not just one, find somethin with DNS or DHCP in it and paste a few.

these things happen if your computer has a spyware. I am assume u r using windows XP(probably without Service pack 2), if thats true then goto Start>Run on the pop up window type cmd, another command prompt windows opens with a black background. type ipconfig /all and press enter if you can post the report that would be coo,l if you wanna try some more stuff try using the ipconfig /renew command. If problem still persists try reinstalling the lan driver.

Are you connected to a router? or straight to modem? to reinstall LAN, go to your hardware profiles. Right click, my computer, properties, hardware tab, device manager. Click + on your network adapter. right click the device(probably will say, 10/100 Network connection, click uninstall restart. follow the direction on your computer after restart when it says FOUND NEW HARDWARE. if Windows doesn't find the required hardware driver, make it look it up on windows or system folders!

Hey if ipconfig command is not working then you have OS level issues, as i remember ipconfig is in all win 98 and above system, if you are really tired of this problem, backup your files and resintall windows XP again, you will feel the computer is faster. Make sure that you have a valid XP license and all the drivers b4 you do that. To solve your problem in the simplest way is to try find some friend who can help you with this problem, can't say anything from here, the problem might be initiated by lots of stuff.
