I know this sounds stupid, but should we really mourn for someone's death? thousands of people die everyday, isn't it? maybe I've gone crazy.

brtamigo, u have some point there. Wonder how one mourns if he/she does not know the dead person ? I know what brtamigo is trying to say. Guys don't just scold people wihtout giving a second thought. If this goes on then there will a lot of bickering and I don't think it reflects on us well. Come on, clear up al your hatred and stop using harsh words.

People who felt bad with the incident will mourn. But nobody got any rights to make insensitive commnet. Use your freaking common sense. Most of the time these sensitive posts are read by someone close to the dead. You do not want to be prick to them. If you do not wanna mourn, just shut the fuc* up. When you are in freaking foreign land, Nepalis gotta help each others out so that synergy is created. People will help out each others out. If you want out, stay out. Next time be fuc*ing sensitve. peace out

Airight man, just think. Do we need to discuss about mourning for the dead. ITs a personal choice. If you do not want then atleast do not discourage anybody who is bringing out the news about the fellow Nepalis. Look at here, Nepalis got together to help the fellow Nepali. THat should be encouraged. Death is inevitable truth. But in this time, when a person is dead, thereis an issue regarding mourning or helping the needy. I do not wanna prolong this discussion. peace out

In the world of today there is no doubt individualism is repected big time. People tend to do whatever they want. But the question arises about humanity. Like love, respect, affection, hospitality are different forms humanity, the same way is mourning. why did the whole world mourned when mother teresa died????? I did and probably u did too even though we didnt knew her personally. i am not trying to offend brtamigo but just sharing my views that we should mourn when someone dies even though u dont know him. But i do want to encourage BRTAMIGO to understand this planet as a common home coz we all look up at the same stars.......we all take light from the same sun, but why cant we mourn as one

In regards to my own mortality, if I think about it and the whole "what happens to us when we die" bit, I tend to freak myself out. Losing people who are close to me... I've lost both friends and family members and each time I felt like... I don't know. I think I mourn for the future absence of them in my life. Sometimes I feel guilty for feeling less upset than I think I should be. Hearing of the deaths of people who have no connection to me... I think it depends on the circumstance of death. And who was involved. Every death is a loss for someone, whether that death was expected or not. Even if you know that somebody is going to die due to a terminal illness or something, it doesn't make it any less devastating for those immediate family members. Although at the same time... it can be a relief to know that they aren't suffering anymore. Death is part of life, it's natural. The question is one of timing. Shit happens, as they say. For anyone I would hope death would be quick and clean, and if it can't be quick, at least let it be dignified.

Not to offend anyone but isn't death supposed to be FREEDOM FROM THIS WORLD! Should we not rejoice the people who died because they have atoned their sins and now are in the world of godly peace! As they say god takes early the ones that he/she loves most! I pray for the souls ofthe departed ones but I do not mourn their passing on. If I new them, I would definitely celebrate what they did during thier short lives and honor them!! They say that if people mourn, it is hard on departed souls to reach that ultimate peace! So let's pray for all these young Nepalis who met their untimely deaths during the last three weeks!!

brtamigo, No offense but that is the stupidest question ever asked in Sajha. The first thing is the answer should come naturally to you before you ask the question. It's like asking "oh I am hungry, should I eat?". Oh yes, You should eat, you must eat unless you wanna starve to death. It's about choice, either you wanna do it, or you don't wanna do it... If you wanna mourn, go ahead and do it. If you don't wanna mourn, find a way to avoid it without making an ass out of yourself. For the further information, refer to Moral Philosophies, Moral Studies or ethics from FOURTH grade in the school where they teach few MINOR things about morality... Thanks.
