Thanks but no thanks. English version is good enough as it's the only one I am confiendent in communicating with. Good luck to all who wants to use the Nepali Version. Don't know how to read well, don't need it. "Imagine".

raru, I also have the exactly same problem in both Windows XP and Linux. What surprises me even more is that there is no such problem in Windows 98. But the main page of Kantipur is OK in my machine, though. Once you follow the links to the detailed news, then it occurs as you have posted above. In the same Kantipur site, Nepal magazine is OK but saptahik is not. I wonder what is going wrong. Can you view Samacharpatra's - http://www.newsofnepal.com with Firefox? I have not been able to do that too. Plz dont forget to share it if you find a solution. Keep rolling...

thank you puntejee, It worked for the samacharpatra site. What I wonder is why the Internet Explorer was able to show the same page properly even before installing the 'Nepal" font but Firefox was not. Anyway, the problem in rendering of the news pages of Kantipur with Firefox,as posted by raru, still remains, any idea plz? Keep rolling...

It feels good to know that SAJHA users do read and think other than DIRTY POLITICS... Thought u guys would be interested in knowing how to disable Internet Explorer, if you have already fall in love with FIREFOX "So if you've had enough of dealing with IE's security flaws, how do you disable or remove Internet Explorer? If you're running Windows 2000 or XP, there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that you can't remove IE without crippling your operating system. However, the good news is that you can disable IE for your users and move to a different browser. Several simple, popular methods exist to disable IE. The easiest way to remove users' ability to browse with IE is to add a bogus proxy server to IE's Internet Settings. Follow these steps: - In IE, go to Tools | Internet Options.
- On the Connections tab, click the LAN Settings button.
- In the resulting dialog box, select the following check box in the Proxy
Server section: Use a Proxy Server For Your LAN (These Settings Will Not Apply To Dial-up Or VPN Connections). - Enter 0.0.0.0 in the Address text box.
- Enter 80 in the Port text box, and click OK.
Please note that adding a bogus proxy server to your Internet settings won't affect Automatic Windows Update from connecting and updating your operating system. You can also restrict Internet settings via Group Policy. Follow these steps: - On your domain controller, right-click the organizational unit that
contains your domain users, and select Properties. - On the Group Policy tab, click Edit.
- Expand User Configuration to set restrictions on a per-user basis.
- Expand Windows Settings, and expand Internet Explorer Maintenance.
- Select Connection, and double-click Proxy Settings.
- Select the Enable Proxy Settings check box, add 0.0.0.0 to the HTTP entry,
and click OK. - Expand Administrative Templates, and expand Windows Components.
- Select Internet Explorer, and double-click Disable Changing Proxy
Settings. - Select Enabled, and click OK.
Remember that Enabled sets a restriction, Disabled prevents a restriction from applying to a group of users (even if you enable it for a broader category of users), and Not Configured doesn't set the restriction. Before you take any of these steps, download another browser, and test it on your current configuration. I highly recommend Mozilla's Firefox. After you install a new browser, answer Yes when it asks whether to make it your default browser." Read FULL ARTICLE

KTMEYE Ji, Rather than going through disabling IE, best thing would be to leave as it is and make firefox default brouser. There are certain website which works exclusively with IE and also there are multiple features which Firefox doesn't have. I use firefox as my default brouser, but I also use IE occaisionally. :)
