काठमाडौं, माघ १४ - नया? सडकको टिपटप टर्ेलर्सभित्रको मिष्ठान भण्डारलेेेे बिक्री गर्ने समोसाभित्र मुसा भेटिएको छ । बिसौं वर्षघि स्थापित गल्लीभित्रको उक्त भण्डारमा लाइन लागेर र्सवसाधरण समोसा खाने गर्छन् ।
सोह्रखुट्टे निवासी प्रवासचन्द्र अधिकारीले समोसा खा?दै गर्दा मुसा भेटिएको थियो । समोसाभित्रको तरकारीमा मुसका बच्चा देखेपछि अधिकारीले बान्ता गरेका थिए । बान्तापछि थलापरेका अधिकारीलाई उपचारका लागि वीर अस्पताल लगिएको थियो ।

पसल सञ्चालकसहित तीनजनालाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएको छ । यसरी पक्राउ पर्नेमा सञ्चालक शैलेन्द्र शर्मा, छविलाल केसी र प्रवीण शर्मा छन् । 'स्टाफ धेरै छन्, यत्तिका वर्षम्म केही भएको थिएन, गल्ती भएको हुनसक्छ,' वडा प्रहरी कार्यालय जनसेवाको हिरासतमा रहेका सञ्चालक शर्माले कान्तिपुरस?ग भने- 'खानेकुराको पसल हो, मुसाहरू धेरै थिए, हुनसक्छ ।'

समोसाभित्रको मुसा भर्खर जन्मेको आकारमा उसिनिएको अवस्थामा भेटिएको थियो । शर्माले भने- 'हातले काम गर्ने हो झिंगा कीरा भए सामान्य हुनसक्छ तर बच्चा मुसै समोसाभित्र परेको देख्दा मलाई पनि आर्श्चर्य लागेको छ ।' केही व्यक्तिका अगाडि चौकीभित्र बरामद गरिएका समासा हर्ेर्दैर्ै अभियुक्त शर्माले भने- 'मुचुल्का गरिएको समोसा हाम्रै पसलको हो तर समोसाको झोल प्याक गरिएका प्लास्टिक भने होइनजस्तो लाग्छ' उनका अनुसार सात रुपैया? प्रतिगोटा पर्ने समोसा दैनिक करिब ८ सयवटा बिक्री हुन्छ ।

जनसेवा वडा प्रहरी कार्यालय प्रहरी निरीक्षक धीरज सिंहले भने- 'खाद्यान्नमा यस्तो वस्तु भेटाउ?दा मुद्दा चलाउने स्पष्ट कानुनी व्यवस्था नभएकाले शुक्रबार र्सार्वजनिक अपराध ऐन अर्न्तर्गत अनुसन्धान गर्न म्याद थपिन्छ ।'

Thukkaaaaaaaaa, that samosa pasal is perhaps the best selling samosha pasal in NEPAL itself. Ajai...

Ajai jhinga kira chai huna sakcha re.. as if it's easily acceptable thing.

I say, fine them a decent amount, and make sure their storage and work place is completly safe and sanitized. And pay appropriate amount to the victim as well.

These things are easier said than done. Aba "'खाद्यान्नमा यस्तो वस्तु भेटाउ?दा मुद्दा चलाउने स्पष्ट कानुनी व्यवस्था नभएकाले शुक्रबार र्सार्वजनिक अपराध ऐन अर्न्तर्गत अनुसन्धान गर्न म्याद थपिन्छ ।' ".. Yesto ma kehi garne kanoon ta chaina re.. Hehe.. Je hoss.. aba nepal janda chai tya ko samosha khandina hola.

It kindda reminded me of one incident about 7 -8 yrs ago in some place before Muglim, it was a new place. umm Ram nagar... perhaps... while my frens were having lunch in one of the "HOTEL" ova there, one of the customer had MUSA in his DAAL... thank god i was having Wai Wai :)

The most noteworthy fact is that the guy went to Hanumandhoka police station....lo and behold....teh police in fact immediately went over to the shop and took necessary actions......

May be we will have some Quality Control awareness in all sectors of Nepal, as an evaluation of extended condition.
7 rupees for a samosa? Wow, it really has been a while then. Are they still serving in the leaflets, that was cool. For 7 rupees a samosa, there was no Quality Control? Well, I shouldn't be complaining from this far.

I doubt about the quality control. We used to eat all sorts of food when we went on tours. I still remember the sel roti we had to eat in Malekhu during the geological survey. gitti forne aimaile kalo bhandama banayeko thiyo ani hamisanga aru kunai options pani thiyena.

I know Jasmine, how about Malekhu ko machha, Airport ko shekuwa, Dillbazaar ko momo, , New Road ko Baath, Kuni kako chatamari etc etc. These are small businesses and you don't expect too much quality control on these. Heck, have u seen a NY vendor making a hot dog?
Point is, an established business should be very aware of quality control or it will bite them in the future.
That song about Momo bhitra masu hunchha, samosa ma alu...needs to be changed.

Hey, you were serious about it!! I wouldn't expect this to happen for a samosa. Ever thought about drinking water, dairy, I mean basically the massive and everyday things. These do come first. But I would be really happy to see your dream come true.

Jasmeen, I think you kinda missed the point here. It wasn't just about Samosa he was referring to. Rather it was for the ESTABLISHED BUSINESS having if not legal, moral obligation for quality control. And you bet that samosa pasal id an established business.

Herata 800 samos bikcha re ( i would imagine more than that, afta all Tip Top samosa pasal kamta chaleko ho ra new road ma) ek jana le duita khayo bhane 400 birami huncha, if god forbid they, by accident or carelessness mixes some $#@#$.

Aba 7 rupeya ko samosa ma jhinga musa nabhaye ke hati rakhne ta, kura pane economic tarikale hernu paryo ne sathi haru.
Sathi le plastic chai hamro dokan ko haina jasto lagcha bhancha ne, ke ho, katai badnami garaune chala ta chaina. Na hola, tara musa nai toki sake pache ta Gorkhe le pahila manager ko bhangara jharcha tes pache polis ko ma jhanca, aja sama dekhiyeko pratha.
The above posting was a satirical, but ye we are never aware what we eat, talk about samosas, momos, and everything, food quality have never been considered an important area. All the artificial flavors, cokes and pepsis which are proving most effective pesticides in India could never deter us Nepalese to pay a price unworthy for its nutritional content, not to mention the awareness for hygeinic production and distribution.
