Hello All,
My employer is about to sponsor me for green card. After I graduated from university, this is my first job for more than 2 yrs. I have H1B done from the same company. I had some university lab experience ( course lab projects) through which I got hired initially. Now, will it be a problem to file LCA or perm from the same company? or do I have to have work experience from a different company to file perm for the company that I work for? Also, I was promoted to different position after working here for more than 1 year.

H , I'm in the same boat as you are currently waiting 140. Talk to your lawyer and it totally depends upon how the lawyer constructed the perm.
Remember the 2 years exp has to be a diff position than what they are applying for. Its called progressive experience and your employer has to show job responsibility differences at least 50% durin 140.
