BYU is in Provo, a sub-urb type city; it's not a total suburb and not a full city.
very very hot in summer and very very cold in winter.
not very green area (no forests nearby) but lots of trees, green lawns, parks, etc in the city.
the main business strip is the university avenue that runs north-south.
downtown is okay size; center street is of decent size.
provo lies abt. 40 miles south of salt lake city.

Tuition there is no in state tuition. the tuition fee is based on whether or not you are an LDS. LDS stands for Latter Day Saints, commonly known as the Mormons. It's a branch of Christianity, possibly the most debated and abhorred religious sect in the US. So, if you are an LDS, you pay abt. 2000 bucks per semester for tuition. If not, 4000 per semester.
Most Nepali students here change their religion to LDS to get the LDS tuition rate (k garne, dollarma dherai tirna sakinna! tyasaile dharma feryo, ani thorai paisa tiryo! dharma fereko bhandaima kohi pani devout Christian hudaina, naatak maatra gareko ho) :)
