Its not rare. We get late every now and then. Sometimes we can't wake up coz' we had loads of tequila the night before or sometimes its just coz' we don't wanna work while its raining. I have always told that,my friend had an accident or the tire was flat.

What do u guys have in mind?

TOP TEN EXCUSES THAT I HAVE USED IN THE PAST ARE

1) I didn't hear my alarm

2)  I had an appointment with a dentist at 10 AM

3) there was a big traffic in the interstate as i was coming back from New York

4) I had a stomach upset

5) high fever

6)  I sprained my ankle, so i am unable to walk.

7) Family emergency

8) Terrible headache

9) i fell on the stairs on my back hurts so bad, i need to go see a orthopedic today

10) I vomitted 4 times this morning and i think i should probably rest one more day and will try to come back to work from next Monday.

Here's one that a coworker used so that he can skip the testing of a prototype board for our project.

'I got poison ivy on my face.'

Other than  4 and 5 rest will be flat lie or need to come with a doctors note.

If you come with a good excuse, there should not be trail, only person to know the reason should be only you.  To come with a good excuse means how to be a good lier.
