Hey guys I'm planning to join under grad. in civil engineering at UAB pretty soon. Is there any one who is currently inlolled in engineering at UAB? I just want to know how is engineering over there? Is it very tough or ok? and what are the chances of getting internship? and can some one tell me how hard is it to get on campus job as well as off campus job? and how many neplease students are currently enrolled at UAB?

I need some decent opinions so that i can make up my mind weather to join UAB or not.

I was there 2 years ago to visit their ME department. Dont know much about their CE program but the university looked pretty nice.

Uni is huge. This is uni is famous for their Medical school. No idea about engineering. Try auburn.edu. But is way to expensive and no jobs at all. which sucks!!!

Yes I'v seen the university. I was just curious to know that ,is there any neplease students inroled in the engineering program or in any other program, so that I can get some ideas regarding the campus environment.

I used to live there. It’s nice University. There are at least 20-25 Nepalese are currently enrolled and 3 or 4 working with university system (Medical/research).

I would not suggest anyone to go to UAB as it is very expensive and they keep on increasing every year almost by 10percent. You can get off campus job fairly easy but you have to work whole lot just to survive and pay your tuition. on-campus jobs are not worth anything. forget about internships here; availability is equivalent to none. by the time you graduate, you will be under whole lot of credit card loans.
