I have H1B from one of the IT company from Oct 1,2008. Now I got offer from non-IT company. Do I have to file new H1B or transfer the current H1B? Do I need paycheck and copy of H1B approval from IT company for applying new h1b ? The problem is the company is not putting me in project and I don't have paycheck and I don't have the H1B approval copy. What are the other options if the company is not ready to give me H1B copy? thank you for your valuable suggesstion."

hi I don't think it's possible to transfer from IT to Non IT field. I heard there is new rule that you can only transfer from IT to IT. About the case of H1B, they have to give you and they can't cancel without your permission. U can SUE them if they do like that.

please check the website. I thought you couldnt transfer your H-1 only if it wasnt in the quota system, like non-profits and educational institutions. But then again, I have been stuck with one without a job so not too sure. Hope you get to do it and breakfree from the dhokhebaaaaz consultancy duniya :-) G'luck milkshake and congrats. btw, what kind of company is it?
