Hi Guys!

I have extreme Myopia. I am wearing glasses of power -7 on each eye. I am thinking of doing LASIK surgey so that i can get rid of my glasses. Anybody has done that before? Please share your consent. I herad it costs around 1500$ for each eye.Thanks.

Nepali_Flag - Negative seven is a high prescription I would say but I have seen people who have a prescription of negative nine (hard to believe, innit?). Btw, you can always keep an option of wearing contacts if you have no problems wearing them. But then again LASIK can keep you away from eye glasses and contact lenses troubles.

As far as I remember there was a promotion/program which would let you pay your bill in installments and free of interest for 18 months or so. A acquitance of mine who went through the LASIK surgery had a positive response. So I guess myopians will not have to live the rest of their lives making glasses/lenses as soulmates. :-)

Well I have friend who did lasik and his eyes are perfect now.but as gwach said i would try in one eye at a time .Although it is 99% effective and safe there is 1% right?

Also,keep in mind ..I am not sure how much i am correct but this is what i have heard.If you work too much infront of computer ...hehe like me infront of sajah.lasik might fade away and the myopia might again come back.So , if you are computer programmer ...just wear glass buddy..who do you need to impresss...just make $$$ girls will be after you :P
