First of all they never reply to your query.
Second I then decided to give them a call, guess what? they put me on hold for 15 mins and i hung up.
when called again they finaly had time for me I guess, but again they asked my email id and said will mail me with the information i requested for, but its been 3 days and still haven't heard from them.

Such poor customer service prior to ticket purchase, you can only imagine what they will do after they sell the ticket.
My route was Philadelphia to KTM

The good ones were:

Zen Travel was pretty friendly, No email response, good help when called them, but unfortunately they did not have flight that matched my requirement.(had from JFK for $1590)

Travel President, good service, prompt reply, they will call you, but a bit expensive for me. New in business so will try hard to find a good fare for you($1612)

ASAP ticket, price expensive than advertised but prompt reply.(Above 1600)

www.myairlinefare.com excellent service, cheap ticket, prompt reply.($1430)

Folks i have been to about almost a hundred sites looking for cheap ticket and have made over 25 calls to different agents, sites but the above ones were the cheapest compared to others.

So if you do not find a cheap ticket from these, dont worry searching elsewhere.

I am still looking for cheaper ones, gopt a few momre calls to make. if i get one i will edit my post with new info.

Zen is definately not customer friendly. After shopping around for a week, I came to a conclusion that Travel President is has reasonable prices and excellent customer support. I got the airfare for around $1300 from them, (Gulf air, For Feb07). In addtion, there is no extra charge to change the dates even after the tickets are purchased where as other travel agents informed that the date change would cost some where from $50- $150.

If you havent yet purchased a ticket, i would suggest to talk to Travel President (Shambhu Shrestha)

but for travel via london you will need a transit visa even if you are not changing airports. the exception is if your last entry to USA was no more than 6 months before.

I have used peaceland travel for my travel several times and I never had any issues with them.

I really had a problem many times.. they over charge you most of the time, the alwasys charge you more then quote.

Responsiveness and friendlyness definitely counts but airfare is something beyond the control of the travel agencies. The fare depends on airlines, class of service, season of travel (lean season, shoulder or peak season), week-end or week-days, return date and many other restrictions like date change, cancellation, refund etc. The more restrictions are there, the cheaper is the fare. Secondly, there are various countrolled classes.L K H Q V and so forth. When you contact a particular agency, the agent will look for the cheapest class which has seats available and another moment, when you contact another company...the same class might have been already sold out and he or she will give you the fare of next available cheapest class.

If its the same airlines, same date of travel, same class of service but you get different fares from two companies, that means that one company has better rate than the other from the airlines.Significantly, there is not a vast difference in the services charges, the travel companies earn by selling tickets.

So, you can definitely look for the cheapest fares but please do not evaluate a travel company on the basis of the fares you get. Secondly, its impossible that one travel company charges you penalty for date change and other company does not in the same airlines, same travel itinerary, same travel date and same class of service. Because its the airlines who decides about the penalties for changes. But its possible that one agent can be less trained or informed than other agent. An incompetent travel agent certainly can give you wrong information.

Yes, I agree with 'once in a while'. You know, the fare price, as such, depends upon flight season, flight career, flight class and of course the commission of a travel agent. I had my experience on dealing with Ishwari Shrestha from Worldwide Travel, when I bought tickets from her and travelled in June, 2006. She gave me very good price better than other travel agencies. She is so nice in person, moreover, her husband also is working in Qatar airways in Nepal and he is so helpful to manage the good flight for you as well. If you have any problem regarding your flight, they'll try their best to give services at their end. Just research yourself and feel the best! the decision is yours!

Hey whoever this guy is that started the service, dont talk bad abt other's business if u dont know much abt it, u might be buying ur tickets for the first time boy, I have already bought my tickets from peaceland 3-4 times, and they are always the best, best prices and quick and prompt service. Me and all my friends buy our tickets from peaceland tavels and they rock. So guys n gals dont even think abt talking bad abt these nice and helpful ppl at peaceland travels.
