So herez the situation -- I need to copy files which are located on a different computer. Basically I need a script/program which monitors a directory over the network and copies its contents as soon as they are updatd. Any help would be highly appreciated. thanks.

could you be more specific.. like when you said another computer.. is it in a same domain .. may be i can help you out with this. I had to do something like that .. so i wrote a script that monitors the particular folder on a network and any changes.. update, delete of the files with in the folder .. would trigger an event that would copy those changes..something like that... by the way, it was done for WIN Platform.

slipknot_IW, DFS does the same thing.. monitors the contents of a folder and copies the changes to other desired locations.

hello friends, Thank you all for replying. SHIV bro, it is a microsoft network. All machines on the network has win2000 OS. slipknot_IW - Well all the machines are in same WORKGROUP. we don't have domain setup. Yeah, I need a script or software which monitors a folder on machine B and copies files/folders to machine A as soon as a new file/folder is created/updated in machine B. I want to be able to just run that script/software once and not worry about it for rest of the day. AX - I haven't tried the software you recommended (..... completely forgot about this thread ). Will trry it out tomorrow. Slash ji, the files can be of any type :P redstone bro, i tried doing google search but cudnt find any. :(
