is "shreeman gambeera nepali" still our rastriya song? does this song even has anything to say about our country?

I thought about it again.wrote it down, and realized, all it says is about the King, how he be prosperous, and live long and all the shit...........Boy, were we in the dark or what?? At least Hatne Hoina, Dati Ladne is all about bravery and Nepal and Gorkhalis !!

I'm bit worried whether we'd to write songs of one of the political parties after being republic. I searched for protestor carrying nepal's flag but i didn't find any...... Had u seen anyone carying nepal's flag during protest?????????

And, to answer NO.........neither the 7 parties, nor the Maoists, and sadly, not even the King consider Nepal in their idealogy. They consider their parties and the Love for KURSI above all.......Great question...I would love to hear more from fellow Sajhaites on Chakrapani's question !

Dear Pokhreli, There are far more urgent things to do than changing the national anthem. While millions are living under poverty and insecurity, any government in-charge or coming should have other priorities than adopting a different national anthem.

To relate Another_Nepali's views with Chakrapani's views......we see no love for the country in Nepal right now......It starts there...Country....People......Kursi......rather than just the love of Kursi !!! Just a thought !

rastriya gaan never said notthing about the nation.. all it did was praised the king.. but i didn't mind singing back then since birendra was our king... certainly the song isn't good no more.. i wouldn't sing it.. it doesn't even sound nice.. whoever composed the tunes and stuff.... N.. i am not thinkin of the song at all .. just wondering when this things comming to an end.. wonder whats actually going to happen.. or what looks like is gonna happen...

shame on you dallas! shame on you texas nepal soceity....in new year party they manage to show their patriotism by giving "shreeman gambira nepali " STANDING OVATION...oh..please give me a break ..don't you find any better song than that.. we are having party here and still singing that song as our rastirya song ..desh ko lagi aru kehi garna nasake pani yo geet lai rastriya geet manera andolan ma utiyeka nepali ko aapaman na nagarau na..

they sing "gaucha geeta Nepali jyoti ko pankha uchali" song :) as national anthem, "shreeman gambhir" was stopped being sung after the royal family passed away! ahem.

In Nepal there is rally against the government. We have seen this trends since we got so called people's democracy in 2046. We're witnessed the big rally aginst girja or other prime minister who were in power before. Those are pretty much same kinds of saying and march against them. Of course not the big protest like this. There were many Nepal Banda before king took power too. This is not a new thing in Nepal.
After King give up his power people'll not focuse on king. Because SPA has new tasks to solve. How to deal with Moist. SPA clearly knows that Moist'll be the biggest threat to them and country.
Good Luck SPA because you'll be in power pretty soon. Just wait and see how they carry king, moist and soja nepali in the same boat.
