I was wondering if anyone in Sajha family worked as Quality Assurance. What's the best way to find a job in QA besides going after Desi company? Any suggestion?

The best way to find a QA job besides joining a desi company would be- join a desi company. If you are a begginer, you really don't have any choice but to lie on your resume and join a desi company. Unless, you are extremely lucky. G'luck! Here are the list of companies you may want to explore- Accenture HTC global services (based in Detriot, MI) E*pro (based in NJ) Global Services IT TEK systems lots of other in CA, NJ and TX.

Don't get so discouraged. There are quite a few companies that hire fresh college students for QA jobs. I know couple of people who got job in QA without the help of desi companies (which I don't want to talk about on this thread... that could be another new thread...) If you want to get a QA job seriously, prepare yourself. Start working on automated software tools (winrunner, load runner), know UNIX and scripting, start reading on how people do software testing. And on top of this, look seriously for a summer internship on any company. The best thing you can prepare yourself for job is gettting summer internship, even it pays less than your regular job because it could be the single most factor that could get you real job later. Good luck
