A worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was: Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the World? The survey was huge failure. In Africa they didn't know what 'food' meant. In India they didn't know what 'honest' meant. In Europe they didn't know what 'shortage' meant. In China they didn't know what 'opinion' meant. In the Middle East they didn't know what 'solution' meant. In South American they didn't know what 'please' meant. And in the USA they didn't know what 'the rest of the world' meant.

Nepal lai sodhyo ki sodhena kuni ? Sodheko bhaye answer would be: In Nepal they didn't know what 'give' meant. They know only 'take' such as take aid, take 'Ghoos'...

get rid of stupid mystic beliefs about animals and then you will have a lot more meals for all the families in certain countries then before! You know cows are pretty good if you grill them right...just a thought...and why does Ahimsa only apply to cows now days anyway? Kind of hypocritical. A little protein in your diet will do you good! Also pigs taste mighty fine! Bacon!! Pork chops!!

Andrew...why are you so bitter? Hmmm so far i know Bible teaches to be calm right ? Love everyone and hate no one. :) Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. So follow these rules and you will be fine.

I sortof agree with Andrew Wa, key word here being sortof. Hindus are forbidden to eat beef in the scriptures (but is this really true?), so the Hindus can choose not to eat beef. But Nepal has people of other faiths too. Why should they be subjected to the same enforcement? Well, you might say, Nepal is the one and only Hindu Kingdom. So, constitutionally, Nepal is not a secular country. So, I guess I have my answer. But be that as may, is it not best to have the separation of church (in this case, temple) and state? Does being a Hindu Kingdom make us the subjects of theocracy? Is it right for the dominant religion to force its ideas on to other minority religions? And from a more pragmatic point of view, if one has to take a life to sustain oneself, would it not make sense to take as few lives as possible? (Let's assume) 500 people can be fed by the meat of one dead cow. At the same token, you will have to kill at least 100 chickens to feed 500 people. So would it not make sense to take one life rather than one hundred lives? Wouldn't our Hindu gods agree with that?

Ktmdude, enjoyed your post. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andrew Wa dude, it would not hurt to not to make controversial comments once in a while. Let us not forget, there are better things to disagree and raise kind of redundant comments. Yeuta kura ke bhane, Gai Nepal ko rastriye janawar pani ho beside being a a holy animal. I have no problems with peiople eating beef, but every nation has their own heritage. Let us argue and raise our voice on something constructive instead of JPT, kich kich badi, tyasko fayeed da chai ke hi nai. Hyaaa bhannai lachi lagne. La ta jai hoss timro. ---------------------------------------------------------------- "But be that as may, is it not best to have the separation of church (in this case, temple) and state? Does being a Hindu Kingdom make us the subjects of theocracy? Is it right for the dominant religion to force its ideas on to other minority religions? --> riten, you know the answer don't you? 1) Yes 2)No ( aba yeta uta tyata chahine nachahine lambai chaudai daya baya garyo bhane chai tha chaina) 3)No So would it not make sense to take one life rather than one hundred lives? Wouldn't our Hindu gods agree with that? ----> Tyo chai hindu god lai nai sodnu parcha.
