First of all, I am sorry for that guy who came to my restaurant and felt bad about the treat he got. I don't think I treated them differently than other American guests. I again apologige for the uneasyness the had to go through. I always treat my guest the best if they present themselves in good manner.
It's very sad to see too many nepali brothers and sisters pass comments without knowing both sides. The guy came to my restaurant and I gave water, menu and he goes, can I get pork momo? The menu clearly says we have chicken and vegeterian momo. When I said we have only chicken and veg momo, he said, can we have beef one? That is really offencive to me as its against my religion and nepalese authenticity.
Now comes, the Alcohol ID issue. They all looked young to me and I have right to ask for ID before serving alcohol to them. Do you want me to be out of business just because one nepali kid wanted to have alcohol at my restaurant? He said he was a graduate student somewhere in NH but he was not acting like one otherwise, he would not be talking about the tips he gave. I did not ask him to give me tip. he was probably mad that he had to pay for his dinner.
Most of the nepali brothers and sisters are happy with my service and food except few jelous and beefsearchers.

Now this officially cracks me up!

A guy posts on the world wide web how he is displeased with the service a certain Nepali restaurant in some corner of the world...and within days the restaurant 'owner' posts back ..the original guy ko complain haru lai 'khandan' gardai...boy is this something or what!!!

just a perspective of an outsider looking in. the descriptions of what happened as described by the owner of the restaurant and the displeased customer are the same coming from two extremes. i think that neither are true and just because somebody said the manager was rude i would not believe him and also not wholly agree with the manager's explanation. people should decide for themselves. as netaji would say: crow took ear, run after it?

A typical example of we-cant-get-along-worth-sh*t.
A guy goes to a nepali resturant, and 'offended' (this words been thrown around a lot, spelled wrong at times too, so figured, id use it too) by the service, decides to go public.
The right thing to do, would be to help out a fellow nepali by telling his drawbacks and how he could make his business better, in person and in private. Or if you dont care, just walk out and never go back again.
And not to mention, getting mad when asked for an ID while drinking beer. The manager was just following his procedures.

Now, lets go to Mr. Resturant-manager, Mr. I-love-my-religion-and-dont-have-a-sense-of-humor-worth-squat.
He apoliziges at first, and says he doesnt think he mistreated anyone, and then goes on to explain a bunch of 'roudy-mannerless-nepali' that came into his resturant and 'offended' him.
By doing so, he tries to justify his mistreatment to that bunch, which, in the first place he had denied he had done anyways.
I dont have to be an expert on the guy who made that comment, but Mr. resturant manager, I can swear on his behalf that he wasnt searching for beef. If he was, I am sure he would have gone to McDonald's. Noone is fool enough to actually ask for a beef momo, or whatever it was, but, on the other hand, you Mr. manager, are no lesser fool, by thinking that person was serious when he said that. So, think twice before using the term 'beefsearchers' (heeh) again.
And that thing, about papaad - jhaapad, how come you havent explained that???????
I mean, if you are willing to label people as beefsearchers, than those costumers can label you as 'manager-who-wants-to-jhaapad-his-costumers'. It would be the same thing.
I am sure you are going to say that was humor, but so was the beef comment. Mind you, the costumers did not thing you actually wanted to jhaapad them, yet you actually thought they wanted beef. Tsk, tsk....... Mr manager.
Now this is sad. There were all nepalis there, yet absolutely failing to understand each others sense of humor, and get a little chuckle out of it.
About the ID, if someone says hes a grad student "somewhere in NH", I would find no reason not to believe him.
Come on, think for a bit, would the cops send a nepali in a nepali resturant to check whether they would serve alcohol to a minor???? how likely is that??
By reading the other thread, and if all that is true, there is no doubt our manager here mistreated these people (we are not even going to go into the issue of how he gave preference to americans over nepalis), and our costumers did not exactly do the right thing by going to the public about the problem.
I have a feeling the problem goes way beyond that, one that i cannot even try to explain.

PEACE

customer ask for pappad and you talk about jhappad ??

I am SHOCKED , where is your decency Mr . Manager ? you were lucky i wasnt there that evening otherwise I would have caught you by your tuppi and taken you to mini world tour around your neighbourhood and shown you how managers should present themselves to the customers before kicking your live momos hanging between your legs .

there are two basic rules in restaurant mr .manager

Rule no 1 . Customer is always right (because he is the one paying )
Rule no 2 .If the customer is wrong ,go back to Rule no .1

like eminen i also believe that the guy asked beef momo purely for humour .

when he had asked for beef momo .you could have said .........

1.hazoor ahiley beef momo sakiyo baru tesko thau ma bhyaguta ko momo takreau ki ?
OR

2.Amrika ma ghaas katna phursad hunna tesailey gai/goru paaleko chaina ,aba hazoor lai kahan baata takreau beef ko momo ?
OR
3.oho swadilo beef ko momo ta ma aafailai khana pugeko chaina hazoor lai kahan baata takreau ?

if you only had said one of these lines ,environment on that evening would have become so colourful .

The way you have responded to such simple Q and talked about nepalese authenticity and religion etc have only shown your lack of sense of humour and your immaturity .

hell true, I agree with the rules

Rule no 1 . Customer is always right (because he is the one paying )
Rule no 2 .If the customer is wrong ,go back to Rule no .1

shudnt be biased by extremes but manager has no weight in his reasonings ..only apologies are not enough try to change ur behaviour n show it to others.
