Thanks kiddo. Does anyone know the final verdict on the case? Last I heard, a group of old ANA members put a court case. Who won the case and was anything done about the loss in Boston?

One of the biggest problem with nepali organizations is the nursing and feeding of ego.
Always too many speeches. Unless it is a political event, leave the speeches out!!

Someone refered in another thread that summerfest is being organized by the same group that organized mitho bhetghat. Can someone give feedback on how that program went last year?

If you are asking about how well was it organized, I would rate it 4/5. Ambience was good; quiet and comfortable. There was some romantic instrumental in the background that set the mood just right. The hall was well lit. Not too dim, not too bright, just made me feel like I was having a candle light dinner. The tables were well spaced so there was no chance your neighbors could have heard you. Each table had some flowers, real ones. I must say the organizers paid very good attention to details.
I took that one point out coz there was some kind of confusion in rotation somewhere during the program. I don’t know if it was mister announcer guy or mister daters who created the confusion, but ultimately organizers get the blame.
Talking about success, this Jhilkey is still looking for his Nakkali. I had a mitho bhetghat with her and she soon mitho friendzoned me.

Hello friends:
Thank you for your support guys.
It was our first time organizing a speed dating event for a Nepali crowd. The crowd we got was awesome. The event was a bold statement, we think. For being a first time event, we think it went very well. Yes, there was little confusion with the rotation as some peopel were not following directions and we organizers should have foreseen that. We take the blame.
We did put in a lot of effort in planning that and were detail oriented. It was a good learning experience for us too. Also, Mitho Bhet-Ghat was able to raise 1400 dollars for Nepal Youth Foundation http://www.mithobhetghat.com/
Imporant question to our sajha friends, should we do mitho bhet-ghat again? Limit it to single people or open it to all - make it more like professional networking. We welcome your feedback.
Please note: not all our organizers of Nepalese SummerFest were involved in mitho bhet-ghat.
Regarding NEPALESE SUMMERFEST, we have been working at it since August '11. Our objective is to bring the Nepali community together through quality events that will engage, educate, and entertain all. Our focus is QUALITY! We are not a political group so all our focus in providing the best guest experience not speeches. :)
Be assured that SummerFest will truly be a memorable event!
We need your support in making it successful. Please spread the word, give us suggestions, feedback, and ideas. We look forward to seeing you all.
May be we can have a Sajha bhet ghat too at SummerFest. :)
Cheers!
Nepalese SummerFest
