Police have arrested chief of District Livestock Services Office, Morang, Dr Udaya Pratap Singh, on charge of molesting a female sub-ordinate.
Morang police arrested Singh on Monday based on a complaint of molestation filed by a former female employee of the Livestock Services Office.
The woman had filed a complaint on Sunday saying Singh had been molesting her since she joined office in April and had recently fired her from job showing fault in her performance.
Singh had been absconding following the complaint.
The Regional Livestock Services Office, Biratnagar has suspended Singh from his post following the allegations.
Earlier, chief of the Regional Livestock Services Office, Dr Yogendra Yadav, had tried to mediate a consensus between the female employee and Dr. Singh to save the office from embarrassment
