does any body know how many hours of psychiatric nursing (clinical and theoretical) is required for getting license from any nursing board of USA. Have done staff nursing in Nepal but don't know what the requirement is. I have heard that hours of psychiatric nursing from Nepal is not enough to get RN license in US . any suggestion and information is appreciated.

Have no idea what the minimum requirement is? But in my case it was 200 hours of practical training in mental health nursing.
There are lots of nepalese nursing graduates who are RN in USA, so this data does not indicate that the practical hours are not enough for US license.
Anyone more experienced????

Rules are changing for international graduates and that depends on which state board r u applying.
They give hard time for nurses with intermediate degree not for bachelor. In my friend's case it was 100 theory and 192 clinical for CA board.
More experienced are welcome
