A Tibetan is arrested by police during anti-China protests in front of the United Nations office in Kathmandu March 15, 2008. Nepal has effectively closed Mount Everest to climbers until after May 10 to allow the Olympic flame to be carried to the top without being troubled by Tibetan protesters, a senior minister said on Friday.

i think it's ususal for that type of incident. we had similar situation when we used to have some rock concert at tundikhel or rangasala. And regarding helping tibet or gurkha land in india, it;s their own matter and they will deal on their own. At least, Nepal is not like USA, who can put their legs in other;s work.

It's for sure Nepalese Polce are brutal. However, right hand washes the left one and vice versa. Even our protestors are unruly and it prompts Nepali policeman to over react. They need human rights lessons. Then again our protestors need  Nagarik Sikshya (Civics).
