Hi all

Even i am graduating in may my term is going to end on this MARCH. Now, i am just

tiered of living on the same state for more than 1 year. Acutally, all of my friends

are exhausted too.

So, we have decided to move to another place, in search for the peace of mind. If we

have to work like a dog anyway, then why only this place ? why not on another place where

we could find some more nepalese friends. Along with that we would have an oppourtinity

to explore the place as well. Because of this reason, we (three people) decided to leave

this state.

We want to move to the city area. Three alternatives are on mind. Newyork,

Chicago and Boston. Public Transportation is the main reason. Driving is more than

enough for all of us cause its too costly. Gas, Insurance and maintenance cost, nabhaye ko

kapal pani jhari sakyo..

Newyork would be the last option because of the low pay rate and high living expenses.

Howeve we couldn't able to decide to choose between chicago and boston.

And one more thing, here in USA there is only one person that can help us on any situation.

That person is ourselves.. You may wondering that what about the realtives

and friends. Again . I guess you understand my point.

Now, the main problem is that we have to first find out one bed room apartment

( Actually a single room woule be more than enough ) however we don't know

what are the pre-requisite to rent an apartment on those cities. Of course, we

can check it on websites but as you know here in usa if you are aware about something

and talk directly then it would be more convenient for anything. One more drawback

of website is that we won't be able to find the nepalese communitiy.

Also, we don't know where the potential employers (Unfortunetly

indians , pakistanis, arabics) could be find on those cities.

So we are here to make a request to drop your suggestion on this thread. If you

are checking this thread and live on one of these two cities (Chicago or boston)

we would really appreciate your time and effort for writing on this thread

Thank you in advance

Hope i will get a lots of reponses....

Hey R,

St. Cloud State University is one of the cheapest. Your living cost would be around 450 for one bedroom and around 580 for 2 bedroom. There is no problem goin' to college coz of good trasportatn ( bus in every 15 -20min).Some students r workin' outside takin' bus so i think that wouldn't be a problem too.No dhoti store at all(good news).

Come ASAP coz i need some frez to help me findin' a car.I wanna drive let's see how i feel.

I would suggest Stamford. I've heard there are quite a few Nepalese there and also good opportunities for work in Ny as well as Ct area. Living Exp is also not bad. Look around other cities in CT also near by Stamford. I t hink it is a good enough option so think about it!!!
