looks like waste of money to me. looking at the picture, i think building a huge bridge across a river with all dried up banks seems little unnecessary to me.they could have used that money for something useful. but i don't know, just an opinion. maybe the river gets flooded during rainy season.

That's the Mahakaali river and its not dried up ! The pic shows more of one shore and not the river. U should look from the center of the bridge to have a better idea about the river.

Construction of the Millau Bridge in France

The Millau bridge over the River Tarn in the Massif Central mountains is more than 300m (984ft) high - taller even than the Eiffel Tower. With its concrete and steel pillars soaring high above the morning fog in the Tarn Valley, the construction makes a spectacular sight

Is this the bridge that border India and Nepal or is it in Northern part of Kanchanpur?
OR Does anyone know where within Kanchanpur district it lies?

Would these kind of mega-structures be feasible in Nepal, being so earthquake prone?

Tusaro, that picture looks incredible? Can you tell me where's that?

When going to home by bus back home (especially in Thankot ko Ukalo/Oralo), I always thought if such bridges were possible in Nepal, they would really bridge and narrow down the huge distance because of the geography.
