looks like waste of money to me. looking at the picture, i think building a huge bridge across a river with all dried up banks seems little unnecessary to me.they could have used that money for something useful. but i don't know, just an opinion. maybe the river gets flooded during rainy season.

That's the Mahakaali river and its not dried up ! The pic shows more of one shore and not the river. U should look from the center of the bridge to have a better idea about the river.

yeap that bridge is across mahakali to connect chadani, dodhara village .I hope there wont be any group who wants to come in light for any reason by destroying the bridge.

samir28, if u look at the picture, the river bank under the first section of the bridge is all dried up.i still think its a waste of money.

Tusaro, that picture looks incredible? Can you tell me where's that? When going to home by bus back home (especially in Thankot ko Ukalo/Oralo), I always thought if such bridges were possible in Nepal, they would really bridge and narrow down the huge distance because of the geography.
