This is my pleasure to announce that Icon College of Technology and Management, London has agreed to provide 3 full scholarships to Worldwide Nepalese Students' Organisation-Nepal (WNSO-Nepal) for Nepalese students still in Nepal at the time of application, for the February 2007 intake.

The scholarships will cover Tuition Fees only and would only be for each of the following programmes at the college:

Higher National Diploma (HND) in ICT System (Information and Communications Technology) leading to BSc (Hons) BIT
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Tourism & Hospitality Management (T&HM) leading to BA (Hons) T & HM
Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) leading to MBA
After the successful completion of academic programmes conducted by Icon College of Management and Technology degrees of Higher National Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies are awarded by Edexcel, the UK's largest awarding body.

Higher National Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma are very popular degrees in the UK. After the successful completion of Higher National Diplomas, the students are eligible to upgrade their qualification to BSc (Hons) or BA (Hons) in the respective subjects by studying one more additional year. Similarly, students after successfully completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) may continue study for one more year anytime to get the degree of MBA.

The London South Bank University awards bachelor level degrees and MBA degree is awarded by the University of Sunderland. Fees for the final years should be deposited directly to the respective universities; hence, the college does not provide scholarships for that additional one-year study. However, WNSO may negotiate with those universities regarding the possible discounts and other facilities.

The scholarships will be allocated on competitive basis with the final selection made by the College Management Committee. To be eligible for the award of these scholarships the potential students must satisfy the entry requirements for the course for which they are applying as well as Terms and Conditions governing tenure of these scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria
For HND: 10+2 or equivalent,
For Postgraduate DMS: Bachelor level or equivalent

Application forms are available at the WNSO – Nepal office (cost of application form is NRS. 200 and registration fee during the submission of forms is NRS. 300)

Documents required to be submitted are:

Duly filled up application forms
Updated Bio-data (Hand written)
Copy of all academic qualification certificates and citizenship
Two copies of recent passport size photographs
Deadline for submission of documents: 22 nd January 2007

Only short listed candidates will be called for interview and/or test.

All unsuccessful candidates are still eligible for 30 % discount in the tuition fees, if they will like to get admission at Icon College of Technology and Management, London on self-finance basis.
