I am doing a research paper on Economics of Nepali Websites. Thanks for any answer you can give me.

I see lot of advertisements in nepali websites. Is it possible for nepali websites to make lot of money? How much monthly income can a popular website generate in one month from banner ads and google ads? Currently which Nepali site generates the maximum revenue?

I think they can make money.... for example... Umesh Shrestha of Mero Sansar is askign donations... so he can fulfil his dream of buying 80 lakh house at Sunakothi, Lalitpur. He is getting money not only from the ads, but also from donations....

1/3 rotating advertisement banner (rotates every 5 seconds): (NEPALNEWS.COM HOMEPAGE)
NRS. 25,900.00 per month (inclusive of 13% taxes). USD 350.00

Right Frame (240 x 100 pixels): (NEPALNEWS.COM HOMEPAGE)

Random banner: up to a maximum of six.
NRS. 25,900.00 per month (inclusive of 13% taxes). USD 350.00

I think Nepalnews.com makes around $2500.. to $3000.00 a month through their google ads....

... so yea... it's fun!! :)
