Hello all, I am planning to apply for the residency in Canada. I was wondering if there are any lawyers that are in the US who works regarding canada immigration. OR if there are any lawyers information that some of you have used in canda. Even though they say that one doesnot need a lawyer and can do the process by themselves, I am not sure. Appreciate you help.

Anybody knows how to verify employment from U.S.? There are a certain points if you are working in U.S. forms. You need to submit certain documents showing U.S. forms employ you, but what kinds of documents you need to submit them?

I don't know if there are any specific forms to be submitted by the employer. In case you don't find any, ask your employer to write a "To Whom It May Concern" type of letter mentioning at least: Date of your appoinment Your position title Your annual salary Brief job responsibilities in 1-2 sentences.

Dariwal, before sept 11 it was 9 months (less than a year) but now (I heard but might be wrong) around year and half AznshawtY I agree with you Canadian govt boost up the pass mark to be qualified for immigration to 75 but after that they didn't get that many immigrants, then they lowered it down to 67 (was before) and for your relatives yes you will get 5 extra points extra. if you call that an easy. peace

Hello Dariwal, Can you tell how far have you reached with your application? I myself am interested in finding out if immigrating to Canada is possible. By the way where are you applying from and which part of Canada do you have on you mind? Thanks.

Hello Dariwal, I am interested in immigrating to Canada. I have a question regarding the high skilled immigration point system, I am currently finishing my Masters in Health Care Administration in U.S.; however I lack the work experience. Once I graduate do you think I have a chance of getting PR of Canada through the Skilled Worker program. Is it necessary to get a lawyer or is it better to apply on your own. Any suggestions from anyone will be helpful. Thanks

neevah, you have to have work experience since you're apply under workers class. but they count anything in last 10 yrs so if you can make something from nepal, i think it works too. i'm taking french class cuz just on the basis of the certificate i can score couple of points, i will apply when i finish it
