At one side Gyanendra stubborness is driving Nepal to bankruptcy.. ‘Govt might be bankrupt by June’ Kantipur Report KATHMANDU, Feb 3 - A leading monetary economist has warned that the economy might face a serious accident if urgent and effective corrective measures are not taken immediately. At a program in the capital on Thursday, Dr Raghab Dhoj Pant, executive director of Institute for Development Studies (IfDS) said that due to high inflation, coupled with low growth of per capita income over the years, the economy is marching towards stagflation. "A detailed integrated analysis of the overall trend of government revenue and expenditure until recently, the current economic situation, the expected negative impact of the supplementary budget on government revenue and the new structure of custom duties show an alarming situation: the government will be financially bankrupt by the end of May/June," Dr Pant said. In his economic report titled, 'The economy and the state: Can it survive?' Dr Pant presented a bleak economic scenario and stressed that the country should not avoid or postpone national problems in the way it is doing right now. "Once the economic problem explodes, we will not have enough time to deal with the people in the name of finding alternative programs and measures like in the area of political issues," he added. He also said that since the current pace of economic deterioration is faster than the deterioration taking pace in politics, it was high time for the government to take the economic issues seriously. The IfDS predicts that the growth rate in per-capita income would be negative or barely positive in the current fiscal year. "As a result, rural migration as well as migration of young people to other countries in search of employment will increase," stated the report. It further forecasts that the national consumption will increase at a faster rate than the growth in income, which will further widen the trade deficit due to the higher imports of consumption goods. Similarly, it expects the rate of inflation due to the domestic conflict will increase at its own pace, but due to open border with India, together with fixed exchange rate, it will not exceed the maximum limit. The forex reserve in the current fiscal year can marginally rise or even decline, indicating emerging problems in the balance of payments. Posted on: 2006-02-02 18:54:51 (Server Time)

Otherend so called freedom fighter with their hidden agenda.. are calling for international boycott... But god dont you realize its poor nepalese that is going to suffer from this. Gyanendra already has money for his 10 generation he doesnot care... ****** Nepalese in Northern California also marked Feb 1st as a “Black Day†Laxman Adhikari “Roshan†San Francisco- February 1 - As to give hands to fellow democratic lovers back home in Nepal and to mark the Feb 1st as a Black Day, a huge Nepalese mob congregated here in San Francisco and circled the UN Plaza. The participants had various placards and banners having anti-king slogans and support for democracy. The mob chanted anti-king slogans, tore a paper effigy of king Gyanendra, requested the international communities to pressure the king to give up oligarchic reign and to suspend any financial support to the hand-picked puppet government. While addressing the mass, Roger Adhikari, one of the organizers, requested all Nepalese living abroad to send limited amount of money to their family in Nepal or if not necessary really, deposit that until and unless the democratic government is fully installed in Nepal as such everybody feels their toil-prize is fully secured. He also said that the existing Nepalese remittance is being possible by the abroad living Nepalese sending money only. The other speaker Baikuntha Khanal said that we Nepalese are pushed back 20 years after the Royal coup d'état last year. Various speakers stressed that the recent public address by monarch was nothing but a despotic intention and a complete oligarchic expression. Each and everybody flared the action of monarch very badly and concluded that the king will never be able to patch the loopholes and backdrops that he personally caused against the strong democratic feeling of Nepalese people.

Yes, Nepal is bankrupt. But it is not only happen tomorrow. Nepal was bankrupt in 7 decades ago in Nepal. But ordinary Nepalese just could not realize about it. Because bankrupt was not happening in front of their eyes. Now, majority people realize about going down to hell because there are so much problem pop up just in front their eye like – people are dying, market close down, price go up, no employment, no foreign employment, gorkha recruiting reduce in quantity, No Arab employments, more people but less opportunity and everything is going bad. King Gyanendra did not create of Nepal bankruptcy, black-marketing, corruption, high market price. King Gyanendra tries to control crime and corruption in Nepal, but he was too late to take action while too many corrupt criminal into government official ranks and political parties. He just needs support of True and Patriotic Nepalese people. I will guarantee for that Seven Nepalese political parties are bad as thieves and bandits of India. In USA, 95% Nepalese people came from corrupt and criminals families roots. No wonder they oppose king action. Good things in Nepal always make their bad fortune.

In Nepal, Your father, Uncles and brothers actively and currently involve in crimes and corruption in government and political fields, and you guys finger point to other people because you do not like them. Who are responsible for bad situation of Nepal and future of all Nepalese? Why democracy failed so many times? Why Nepal can not develop in more than 7 decades? If you do your home work or study and research, you will find answer within in your families or home. It is truth and reality.
