 About lost passport

Hi, one of my frens lost his passport.I know that he can have new passport from DC, but the problem is he came in F1 visa and he is out of status now.He is married to GC holder and his I130 form is in process. What's he should do now ?

Why don't you write that you lost your passport? I think you need to file police report how you lost your passport. They will write you a report. You have to submit application along with report, $300 fees, and 3 PP size photo. You don't have to mention you are out of status, or married with any other citizen because you still consider unmarried back home. I hope this helps. Follow the link below.

Thank u for the answer.Lost passport belongs to my fren not me, anyways, his concern is not about getting new passport but about his I94 and visa which is there in the passport, what happens for his procedure of getting GC through marriage? Can u plz clarify?

I guess you have separate I 94 original (it has information of port of entry and date) and copies of passport could help. You need to talk your immigration lawyer.

USCIS need information about port of entry and date of arrival that you can get from first page of I-20 as well. Most illegals have no flight ticket, port of entry date because they crossed border and have no record of it. Your passport is lost so you should have enough information from other sources.
