@sexyindhakatopi same. This happened to me last time too, literally sent my application on the first week of announcement and people who applied last got their EAD earlier than me.

Well renewed my license with DHS additional status verification so I basically wasted my money for the EAD lol.

@pyackman how did renew your DL? And where?

Texas, ask em to do additional verification, they verify via call with DHS and send you a letter of lawful presence in mail. Takes about 1.5 weeks.

@pyakman: 'Ask em...' as in ask the DMV to do additional verification? And return home and wait for about 1.5 weeks to receive the letter in mail from DHS then go to DMV with that letter?

yup, the office that I was assigned to actually suggested that, I did not know that was even an option because Texas has been very inflexible with Driver's licenses. The letter is from headquarters of the State department, they verify with DHS and send a letter in mail that you take to the DMV

Hi, would appreciate if anyone can help me with a few questions.Has anyone applied for TPS for the first time and been accepted recently? If not, how likely is it to be even accepted?
Also, if one is in F1(STEM OPT) atm, can you change your status back to it if TPS gets cancelled next year?

I've sent AP application a month earlier just to get the whole package back in mail almost after 40 days of wait, citing to resend it over with some additional documents. What a freaking waste of time!
I thought I included all the necessary documents with form I-131,$575 check, 2 copies of PP size photos and few other additional copies as suggested by one of the SAJHA users in this same thread. However, I didn't file for I-821 (TPS) this time, assuming not necessary. Now, they are asking I-821 along with the original applicaton for I-131. I'm wondering what amount of check should I write for I-821? Is it $85? Or would my last approved TPS( I821) would help?
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated!!

Did you send the copy of previously approved i821 letter aka 797 notice? Also what service center?

I got my AP approved yesterday. These were the documents I sent:

1) Passport (page 2, INITIAL entry visa page, TPS parole entry stamp page)
2) letter stating reason of travel (visit family)
3) previous AP
4) previous AP approval notice
5) 2 photos
6) Previous TPS Approval Notice
7) $575

And I sent it to
USCIS
P.O Box 6670167
Dallas, TX 75266

I read somewhere if AP is filed without TPS it should be sent to TX address.

I also applied EAD to Chicago address, but it is not approved yet.

(3) If you are an applicant for adjustment of status, a copy of a USCIS receipt as evidence that you filed the
adjustment application; or
(4) If you are traveling to Canada to apply for an immigrant visa, a copy of the U.S. consular appointment letter; "

I think you did not include document (1) which in your case will be previous TPS Approval Notice.

These are exact quote from USCIS...
" The application type you selected on your I-131 required proof that an I-821 has been submitted. Please resubmit your form I-821 with a copy of your form I-821 receipt notice (I-797)."

So, did you or did you not send the Previous TPS approval notice? Thats all they are asking

anyone got EAD yet?

I got my EAD. I applied on June 24 and got my EAD card on July 18. I was really surprised getting my EAD card in less than a month.

@donut that fast? @pyackman the status still says received for my case. The receive date by uscis is June 28th, this is the first time I have ever encounter slowness from uscis
