Babu Bogati In Support Of Prashant Tamang -------------------------
Popular artist Babu Bogati along with renowned hair stylist of Nepal, Neel David, has left for Darjeeling to provide support for Indian Idol top five finalists Prashant Tamang. At 12:30 afternoon, they boarded their flight and shall be in the Queen of the Hills by this evening. As informed by Babu himself, the co-coordinator of this program from Nepal is Neel and he informs that the concert is scheduled for tomorrow. He says, "There will be a concert as well, where I will be sharing the stage along with other artists there.
However, the main objective of this event is to lend our support to Prashant and request people to send in their votes. We want him to achieve even greater heights!" As far as Prashant is concerned, Babu opines, "In comparison to other participants of Indian Idol, he is for sure not the best but his tone and vocal capabilities are not that bad either. He is one participant who does not come from a musical background; as in he has not learnt anything in music when compared to the other finalists of Indian Idol. However, Prashant coming this far, to top five finalists is in itself a big victory.
Our votes go out to him because we want the best to happen to him and his future. Darjeeling may be in India, but people do share emotional, cultural, linguistic and sentimental relationships with Nepal. This is why, I decided to join in the bandwagon of supporting him and motivating and inspiring him in every way possible! We would definitely leave no stone unturned to see him as a winner! We want people to vote for him continuously!"
This will be Babu's first performance in Darjeeling and he is anxious to be part of it. His last performance was in Pokhara about two months back. "Darjeeling is one place where every Nepali wishes to go at least once during their lifetime. I was always looking forward to making a trip and being a part of an event. Now, when I have an opportunity to perform there and that too for a good cause, I am glad.
I am very happy!" shares Babu. After his program in Darjeeling is over, Babu will be leaving for Taplejung, where he has a concert scheduled for Bhadra 13. Then on, he will be heading back on Kathmandu on Bhadra 15. Good luck Babu. Thank you for representing us all in support of Prasant Tamang as the next Indian Idol.
Amazing bro and others thanx for providing (as always) such info on Prashant. Do you guys know how can I save Prashant's (II's) video from zshare.net or Idol's own site? My connection is damn slow for watching online. Is there any site where I can download onto my harddisk? I mean complete song/s not jhalaks.
As a true Nepali, we have to vote for Prashant . People who have lived in India, be it to study or for any purpose, know how the Indians dominate the Nepalese. It requires a lot of gut to stand up, and compete with them. So we should be proud of Prashant, and vote for him and help him win the Indian Idol. The program is almost at the end, so we have to support him more than we did before. Whether he sings well or not, we have to vote for him. It is our pride's issue. The Indians are trying to do their best to eliminate Prashant. Amongst all of them to be in the top 5 is a big deal. Udit Narayan being a Nepali is not able to speak his mind as a judge. Whereas Prashant is doing more than that. Ankita, Emon, Chang should be out. All of us have to support and vote for him. It does not matter where we live but we Nepalese have to stick together. It is the first time for a Nepalese to participate and we have to be proud of his guts, and appreciate him. Jai Nepal!!
yea people all over india are hellbent on making Emon Chatterji their idol. He has a huge fan following ...mostly wild school gals who will vote a billion times ( u know gals!)... So Prashant fans out there should really get together and vote n vote n simply vote if they want him to see him winning. And Prashant should do nothing but concentrate on his singing.....he must sing good. We've all admitted by now that he has the most charming voice ever, but he's gotta put it all together and throw awesome performances so that people sincerely n seriously vote for our Nepali hero. And this way he will be proud of himself too. Sony will then only not manipulate the votes if Prashant stands out with a remarkable difference in votes. Otherwise, chances are that they will manipulate the situation to bring Amit Paul or Emon Chatterji( most likely) as their idol.
See how Puja says "oyee nepali....muahh" to Prashant ....so by seeing that i must say that they all accept that Prashant is a Nepali....great !! ...and also see how Prashant is flirting with Puja and Ankita
...............To keep on track, Prashant follows with another Karz number Ek Hasina Thi which impresses Udit Narayan to respond to his performance singing Indian Idol ki gali mein tumko aana thaa!! .......Wow seems exciting !!
Prasant Tamang has sang this song with great love and voice. He is doing great and he has reached till this stage not because of voting but his god gifted voice.I say so,becuase to be an orchester singer in a Calcutta Police Force is not a joke, for a person like Prasant Tamang from Darjeeling.
PRASANT BHAI YOU ARE THE NEXT INDIAN IDOL,KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Amit Paul trails Prashant in voting This news was published in todays edition of 'The Shillong Times'. How Sony revealed Prashant's Vote? Dont decrease ur vote for Prashant even if u Vote for Amit Paul. "SHILLONG: Singing sensation Amit Paul, who is in hot pursuit of the coveted Indian Idol little, seems to be trailing where it matters most - voting. According to reports reaching here from Mumbai, despite his highly impressive performance in all the recent episodes of the contest hosted by Sony TV, Amit now runs the risk of being shown the door for no fault of his. Owing to inadequate support from fans, Amit is lagging behind Prashant Tamang of Darjeeling by a whopping three lakh votes. Meghalaya's low key response, coupled with lack of effort to drum up public support are said to the prime reasons for this gap. The Nepali-speaking cop, Prashant is said to have a better network of fans and added to this, his police background has helped his cause appreciably. Informed sources said that Amit can easily catch up with Prashant, if a wave of awareness of voting is created not only in the State, but across the Northeastern Sister states, through initiatives of fans and well -wishers. Some local fans have been making sporadic attempts at rousing the people. Last week some of them returned to book support for Amit in Assam's Barak Valley. At Silchar a Press Conference was held, followed by a rally taken out in the busy thoroughfares of the town and all this for the cause of garnering support for Amit. Although the frenzy witnessed last year, when Silchar's own Debojit Saha won the "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest", is missing, effort seems to have had salutary effect. On Thursday Debojit called up The Shillong Times office to appeal to the people for backing up Amit. "I think he is capable of becoming Indian Idol, all he needs is people's support." Calling from Kolkata where he is camping for cutting a new disc, Debojit informed that he would be in Guwahati soon for show and would seize the opportunity to canvass for Amit
